Dear Members and Visitors,

Welcome to the Middleburgh Rod and Gun club website.

It is our hope you will find the information you are looking for; whether it be about our youth fishing derby, youth archery program, or the future scheduling of the New York state hunter safety courses, bow courses, or trapping courses.

Our skeet/trap machine is currently under repair, however, we are hoping to offer trap shooting in the spring season leading up to the fall months. This is a great time to spend with the young ones interested in the shooting sports, and believe me, no ones shooting ability will intimidate anyone new to the shooting sport(s). It's light hearted fun under the watchful eye of experienced shooters. As in all shooting sports, our pistol, bow, and black-powder league shooters would be happy to pass on their knowledge to a novice or beginner shooter.

If you are a member, I would ask you to please try to make as many meetings as possible to keep up to date with current events. We will be posting times and dates volunteers will be needed for club improvements and events. Remember "many hands make light work".

Last but not least, I would like to say I am honored to be associated with such a great group of people that make up the membership of the Middleburgh rod and gun club. Your dedication to the club and the community that surrounds it would make anyone proud to be a part of this organization. To the officers and board of directors, and dedicated volunteers, I thank you for your time given to the benefit of the club.

The purpose of the club is to:

• Promote better sportsmanship in the community
• Aid in the proper distribution of fish and game
• Cooperate with State and Federal Government in preventing pollution of fishing streams
• Help in the preservation of wildlife

Applications for Membership:

• Current Gun Club members of 60 years+ who have been members of the Club in good standing for 10 years+ should contact Joe Kopacz (813-7024) to see if they are eligible for special membership benefits.
• Applications are available here, please note that there is a $15 application fee and a refundable $16 car key fee.
• All applications require a existing club member to be listed as a sponsor. Please do not submit applications without first obtaining a sponsor. If you do not have a sponsor you can attend a club meeting to discuss or call Joe Kopacz (813-7024) for assistance.
• Applications should be sent by mail to the club's mailing address, a check for the first years dues is required. This is the preferred method.
• A check for the first years dues needs to be received by mail prior to the application being read into the meeting minutes.
  • Applications must be read into the minutes at a meeting prior to a vote being taken. See bylaws.
• Club meetings are held the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM
